Increase the Number of Simultaneous Downloads in Firefox

Posted by Shashank Krishna Tuesday, April 1, 2008

sharethis: Firefox by default allows only two downloads at the same time from a server. If you got to download more than to files from the same server in firefox. Here is a quick fix to this.

1. Open Firefox
2. Type about:config in the address bar.
3. Search for network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server by entering this in the filter field.
4. By default the value of this field would be set to 2, double click and set this digit to a number of your choice and less than 10 to increase the number of simultaneous download in firefox.
